Hello,
I am searching for a feature where if you edit a document on your PC, it will automatically get saved into Confluence or Jira, a very dropbox-y feature.
Is there something similar? I heard about GoEdit, but I am not sure if that will help us.
Thanks!
Hello,
GoEdit is a great add-on, but it works the other way around, it allows you to open files attached to Confluence and edit them locally, then after you save the file it is automatically updated on the instance, similar to "Edit in Office" feature but for any file.
If you actually want to be able to open the file directly on your PC then the closest feature would be WebDav, it allows you to use the native file manager like Finder (OS X) or Explorer (Windows) to interact with confluence pages and attachments directly.

Hello Igor, this sounds good - it seems like GoEdit could do the trick if the file was saved in Confluence and then edited locally. Thanks for the clarification!

Great,
One thing to keep in mind, you must have software that is capable of editing file installed on local machine, so if it's a CAD file, you need to have AutoCAD or similar installed locally.
There is a nice Demo instance available to test the plug-in out in action:

If you are happy with my answer, please mark it as accepted solution. :)
