Is there a proper way to agregate estimates for a given project in Jira?

Can I use JQL for that and how?

Hi @Pavel Kostetskiy
I hope everything is going well for you, I'm Jose, and I'm product marketing, at DEISER.

One of our products, Projectrak allows you to create project fields at the project level like the Total of time spent, the Total of Story points, or anything else you need.

To try Projectrak: https://bit.ly/3F7pPJ9

I hope it helps you! If you have any questions or problems, please raise a ticket here, we will be happy to help you:

Hi @Pavel Kostetskiy,

I am Marlene from codefortynine.

Another option to aggregate estimates or any other number field, would be our app Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

You can check out some gadgets of our app without installation on our demo dashboards.

Hi @Pavel Kostetskiy

If you are fine with a mktplace app to get this data, we have created an add-on to track the aggregate of your projects at each Issue hierarchy level.

In the snapshot below, I have used "Group By Project" filter to show aggregate at each project level.

Hi @Pavel Kostetskiy,

if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, this would be easy to do in the app that my team is working on, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you'd do in Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including the ability to group your issues by any field(s), and calculate sum-ups across these groups.

To solve your use case, you'd simply enable sum-ups (that's 1 click), and group our issues by their project (that's 2 clicks). This is how this looks in action:

This would work similarly for any other field, and also for nested groupings.

Hope this helps,

Best,

Hannes

Hi @Pavel Kostetskiy

If you want to do this out of the box functionalities, you can use a solution I mention in this article of mine https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-articles/Calculate-the-sum-of-original-estimates-of-all-issue-types-to-an/ba-p/1660572
