Is there a way to always show a story swim lane for a board, even when it has no tasks in it?

David Stevens September 19, 2018

When you've configured the board to show story swim lanes is there a way to always have the story swim lanes appearing even when tasks are all complete or non existent?

@David Stevensyou can have swimlanes by priority. If you set the priority to each story, then use "base swimlanes on" Queries, and set your query to "priority >= High", for example

Hi @David Stevens,

Please note that Stories swimlane shows One parent issue per swimlane (i.e. each swimlane contains all of the parent's sub-tasks), with issues that have no sub-tasks appearing below.

Unfortunately, you will not be able to show the stories swimlane if the stories don't exist or if there are no sub-tasks under them.

Please see the page Configuring swimlanes for reference.

So there's no way to easily see priority of the stories in a sprint. Nice one Atlassian.
