Is there a way to automate tickets to be created everytime a new board is created in a project?

Want to have the same issues created every time we create a new KanBan board within a project.

Like a rinse and repeat set up.

Can this be achieved through automation or any other known way?

Hello @Sierra

Are you talking about making an additional Kanban board for an existing project, or are you talking about selecting the option to create a Kanban board at the same time you create the project?

A Kanban board is just a way to view and manipulate issues in a project, selecting the relevant issues based on a filter.

What variation are you making in the filter each time you create a Kanban board for a particular project (if you are adding another board to an existing project)?

Automation rules currently don't have a trigger that can be used to detect creation of a board nor association of a board to a project. So you can't do this through Automation.

You could create a CSV file that is a template for the set of issues you want to create, tweak it so that it will create the issues with whatever special filter criteria you use for the new board, and then execute the CSV import process to create the issues in bulk.

Hi @Trudy Claspill  Yes,I was talking about making an additional Kanban board for an existing project.

I was going to utilize components to separate the boards out.

Thanks for the reply, I am going to go the CSV route!
