Is there a way to break down components into sub-components in Jira?

I work with a team of platform engineers and we are trying to use Jira to manage our tasks. I recently created 3 agile Kanban projects each containing similar tasks which were further broken down into components. I then created quick filters for each of the components on each of the Project Kanban boards. Now I am wondering if I created one Kanban project with 3 components, can I somehow subdivide them into subcomponents? Thank you.

I'm afraid components do not have the functionality to do this.

You can achieve this only using apps from the marketplace. There are 2 leading apps that allow you to create sub components:

Subcomponents for Jira

Configuration management toolkit

But pay attention to the fact that components are objects within a project, so if you have 3 different projects the components between them are not synced. You need to define them separately.
