This is the worst thing they do - we have dashboards with team members, owners, admins, all names in Jira and it looks so bad we were told to remove those or we switch to another system.

I would like to know the same. We are currently testing version 9.4.x and the blue info icon repeated hundreds of times looks REALLY messy on filters/dashboards.

I've logged a ticket with Atlassian to see if there's any solution.
If not, we're probably going to have to do some kind of horrible css/js hack.
