Is there a way to do a global or mass update to the name of a Component?

Would like to know how to make a change to the name of a Component so that the new value is flushed through the entire project where instances occur.  Can this be done?

When I click on the name of the component, I am redirected to a filtered view with all corresponding Component issues.  But can not edit name of Component in this field.

Welcome to the community.

A Project Administrator can update the name of a Component from the Components page for the project. That will be reflected in all issues in that project where that Component was used.

However, be advised that changing the name of the Component will break all filters that used that Component value. Changing the name of the Component will not automatically update related filters to use the new name.

Thanks, Trudy!  I should have tried to do it in another project as I was (mistakenly) not a Project Administrator in the specific project I attempted to change the name of the Component.
