Is there a way to force the color status bar macro not to show default text?

We want to use the color macro status buttons. We want to leave them blank but when we do so, the text "yellow" appears. Any way or other macro that can show stoplight color statuses?

I just tested in Confluence Cloud and instead of leaving the macro blank, add some whitespace (like additional spaces). The status macro should then appear to be blank.
