Is there a way to save a search filter that is "AND status not in (Closed)"

Mark Linnell February 8, 2019

I'm able to save search filters, however when I add "...AND status not in (Closed)" to that formula. I'm not able to retain that portion of the formula when I "Save As".

When I add "AND status not in (Closed)", it does yield the results that I want. I'm just able to retain it after I Save As. Therefore, every time I go back to search issues, I always have to add "AND status not in (Closed)" to get my results.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

seems to me like a permission issue.

Make sure in the Jira instance you are logged in you have permissions to create and save filters

I tried the following and was able to save as a new filter

project = Test AND "Epic Link" in (TST-2244, TST-2245, TST-3022) AND status not in (Closed)

Thanks - did you happen to add "AND status not in (closed)" to an existing saved formula or did you create a new one which included "AND status not in (closed)"?

I don't think I have a permission issue as I was able to create new save filter with that included "...AND status not in (closed)" and it work fine. It was only when I added the "AND status not in (closed)" to an existing formula is when it didn't work.

i added to an existing filter...then once I see the updated results as a result of adding

"AND status not in (closed)"....I clicked save as and created a new filter out of it
