Is there a way to search for the original epic link when the epic changes?

We have an epic we use to determine priority, then the JIRA gets assigned to the epic where the work will be done. Is there a way to search for all JIRAs that belonged to that original epic?

For example:

Original Epic: Case Priority Review

Current Epic: Core: Repair Orders

I want to search for a JIRA that has belonged to the Case Priority Review epic regardless of its current epic assignment.

I would not use Epics in this manner if I were you. There is no way to query for historical records relating to Epic Links,, within the app, out of the box.

Ok. Sounds like we need a custom label to handle this.
