I have added a comment on Jira Ticket and another user edits(can edit) my comments and there is no log for the user who has edited it. My Jira comment just flow away. And since another user edited my comment it s like I have edited it. Is there any settings for blocking other users to edit your comment. Otherwise, it is a bug?
Change the project permission scheme such that no-one has "edit all comment" permission (maybe leave them with "edit own comments" permission)
Note - I do not know if permission schemes function on the free cloud version of Jira. If they do not, then you can't do this.
I was not aware that another user can edit my JIRA "Comments", until I saw it with my own eyes while discussing the priority of a JIRA yesterday. I thought this was a defect. It seems from the comment above it is a known "use case". Really? What if I was able to update your comments above? I am reaching out to my admin to see if we can have the permissions changed. It seems a minimum there should be a notification or something to the creator of the comment that their comment was updated and by whom, and when.

Comment edited is a notification you can enable. As for the rest of it, editing comments is something some people need. I tend to disallow it because there is still no history of edits, a comment just changes, destroying the old data.
