Is there is a way to bulkd change request type on JIRA cloud?

Jia Xu September 27, 2018

When moving cases across to a new workflow we've discovered that the request type will be set to not match, which means our portal customers will lose access to the issue.

We've checked bulkd operations but there is no option in there to edit the request type.

Is there a way to bulk change request type for a large number of issues or is there a better way to move issues onto new workflow where the request type could be preserved.

Hello Jia,

Unfortunately, there's no way to Bulk change the Request Type of issues as you need using JIRA Cloud. The option available is only applied to JIRA Server.

Please, feel free to watch and vote on the reported feature request below:

Hi Jia,

Currently, it's not possible to bulk change request types.
When a ticket is moved from a project to another, the issue type is changed, the workflow is changed or if a ticket is created through Jira, the request type is set as "No match" and it's necessary to change it manually.
We have feature requests suggesting the implementation of bulk update request type and also to select a request type when moving a ticket from a project to another:

- https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-3613

Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the features.

I'm sorry that we can't be more helpful on it.
If you have any other question, please let us know.

Regards,
Angélica
