Issue exporting from cloud and importing to on prem

Hi we have a cloud based Jira instance 

we also have a fully working on prem instance

when i try and export the data from the cloud instance and import it into the on prem i get the following error: 

There was a problem parsing the backup XML file at C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\JIRA\import\jira-export.zip: No 'key' field for Issue 10885.

Hey Sam, the issue key refers to the project identifier + the issue number

Does this issue "10885" have a key identified? This may be a configuration problem with just one of your issues.

Thanks for the Reply, unfortunately im just the system admin i genuinely don't know what you mean.

In short iv'e been tasked with migrating the online projects to our in house server. the configs are no doubt very different

or is there a way to export each project individually?
