Issue linking

Alex Beech August 6, 2019

I want a user to have permissions to look at only their own project queues however I would also like them to also be able to link issues on their project with issues on another project.

We have the linked issue feature turned on. They have all permissions on their own projects and the browse permission for the project we want to be able to link too

Hi @Alex Beech - Check the "Link Issues"  permission on the project permission schemes.  Users must have that permission in order to link issues.

They do have that permission, I believe they also need the Service Desk Team Project Role however this will then give them permission to other projects

Ah, yes.  If this is a Service Desk project, then that is correct.  I should have asked if it was a Service Desk project.

So if the user needs to be able to link issues from their project to another they need to have access to that project?

Yes, they need to have browse permissions on the project having an issue to which they want link.  Otherwise they cannot select it in the link dialog.
