Hi community,
i would like to configure an issue type task. Especially, in the description field when open a task I would like to include a table (as i am doing manually at the moment). I am the configuration of the issue type task, but in the description there is no icon to add the table. Could you please support?

Hello @Ioannis Pontikas
It appears that Atlassian does not intend to provide support for that (creating a table in the Default Text for the Description field in a Team Managed project). They marked the change request as "Won't Do".
Hello @Ioannis Pontikas
By default, your description field is the system field that has the table icon available. If you have a description field that is custom field you need to change the renderer of the field to be the wiki style renderer. You would need to change the field configuration (better to create a new field configuration scheme and apply it to your project), search for the field and make it wiki style rendered.

I am not really sure what exactly you want to accomplish: Do you want the "Description"-Field to be auto-populated with a Table? Or the Description of the Issue-Type to be a table?
I don't think, that the "wiki style"-renderer is applicable to field-descriptions.
Therefore rendering of tables there is not possible.
I haven't tested it, but I'll look into it now.
Kind regards.

For using renderers on Custom Fields, there is a neat Video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCNHPy88iKA
