Issue with Balsamiq Wireframes add-on (e-mail notifications)

Each time I have a mail notification from the Balsamiq add-on I receive it 3 times, I think there's a bug there. For example, I add a comment to a Balsamiq wireframe and I have 3 notifications for it, I do want notifications but not 3 times each time, it's spamming my inbox...How can it be fixed? Thanks for your help.

Thanks, Charlotte. We were finally able to reproduce this.

It's a bad news/good news situation. The bad news is that there isn't anything we can do from our side because, from our testing, there isn't a way to check if we have fired off a notification email for you already. The system just fires one for each role member on the issue and, if you have multiple roles, it fires off multiple, duplicate emails.

The good news is that we are gathering as much information about the issue as we can, and then we will bring it to Atlassian. Hopefully, they will be able to implement a solution for us so that we can make sure you don't get 3 emails every time.

I'm sorry that we don't have a solution for you today, Charlotte, but I really appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We are hoping that it won't be an issue for much longer. :)

Hi Brendan, thanks for checking this problem and testing it as well. I understand why it's tricky. As I am currently "watching this issue", I'm also a reporter and an assignee I receive 3 notifications but if I stop "watching this issue" I will receive "only" 2 notifications, right?
I think I'll do that for now and I'll let Atlassian check what they can do to prevent users from having too much notifications for similar scenarios. I'm sure they'll be able to find a solution.

And yep, if you stop watching the issue, you will get one fewer email.

Hey Charlotte!

 

This is very strange, and I'm sorry for any annoyance it has caused you. Email is a pain as it is, the last thing we want to do is fill up your inbox with redundant information. :)

We ran some tests on our side, but haven't been able to replicate this. We're wondering if you are assigned multiple user values in the issue settings (watcher/vote/reporter/assignee). Is that possible? Can you share a screenshot of the settings in that issue so that we can take a better look?
