I used the CSV Import feature to bulk import a time estimate of 1 day to a group of Stories. I had to import it as 86400 since the time estimate from the CSV is in seconds.
When I review the updated issues, they show an estimate of "24h" (would like to see 1 day, but that's fine) while loading, then once finished loading they show 3d. I attached screenshots of both. Any suggestions?
Hello Rebecca,
By default, the time tracking estimation of JIRA considers a working day as 8 hours.
That been said, I think it is considering the time you have configured as 3 working days instead of a whole day. Can you confirm if that's the case?
To check how your time tracking is configured, navigate to JIRA Settings > Issues > Time Tracking or type gg > Time tracking and check if the field Working hours per day is configured for 8 hours.
We will be waiting for your answer.
Thank you for your reply. It is see to 8 hours; see screenshot.

Hello Rebecca,
Indeed, that's the reason why it is configuring your issues with 3 days in the time tracking field during the import.
To configure your instance to properly handle the information as you need, you must perform one of the two steps below:
1 - Configure 28800 seconds in your import file (The equivalent to an entire business day of 8 hours)
2 - Change your Working Hours per day to 24
Please, let me know if it works for you.
