Issue with "TO DO" Status is displayed in "In Progress" column of projects Kanban Board

Manisha Pardeshi October 12, 2022

I created a jira issue for a project. The issue status is "TO DO" by default.

When i view the Kanban board, this issue is displayed in the "In Progress" column.

Why is this happening?

How can I see all the issues with "TO DO" status in "TO DO" column of my Kanban Board?

Hi @Manisha Pardeshi - In your board settings, it's likely that the To Do status is inadvertently mapped to the In Progress column

Hi Mark, how do i check this mapping?

Inside your project board view, select the ... option at the top right.  Depending upon whether your project is configured as Team-Managed or Company-Managed, you'll see one of the following options:

Team Managed

Make sure Columns and Statuses is selected from the left navigation

Company Managed

Click on the ... button in the upper right corner of the board.

Select Board Settings (if Company Managed project) or Configure Board (if Team Managed project).

If it is a Team Managed project, the Columns with their mapped statuses will display. If it is a Company Managed project you will need to select the "Columns" options to show the information.
