Why do issues disappear for no apparent reason?

Where have they gone?

How do I retrieve them?

@Wayne Harris If you search for those issue by their key, do you find them?

I ask it, because for example boards in Jira can be configured in a way that e.g. an issue sitting in the "Done" column for 50 days will auto-disappear from the board (and only from the board) to reduce clutter. You can still find these by their key, because they aren't actually deleted.

Just an idea.

Hi @Wayne Harris Welcome to the community!

1. Please see if anyone has delete issues permission in this project

2. Please check if there is an Issue Security scheme applied to this project

This should give you an idea about what happened.

Which project do these issues belong to?

Please navigate to this Project -> Project Settings

You should find Permission Scheme and Issue Security on your left pane.
