I am trying to set up a simple automation rule to copy the priority task from the main task when a sub-task is created. But somehow, this is throwing an error as below:
Can't find issue to copy from
priority
No fields or field values to edit for issues (could be due to some field values not existing in a given project):
ABC-123
Can someone please help me understand what I am doing wrong?
Hi @Gowri Kumar
testing on my Cloud instance I am seeing the same.
There is a related bug which is closed meanwhile (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-75742). What is worrying a bit is that users report the problem to persist - assuming that there will be no further processing of the closed bug I'd suggest the following.
Let's see if Ignacio finds out more. If Ignacio can reproduce the issue it might be worth reporting the observations to Atlassian support for further debugging.
Regards,
Daniel
Hi @Gowri Kumar ,
May you check if Priority is in the screen associated to the Sub-task's create and edit issue operations?

Yes, the Priority is associated with Sub-Task issue type, but I am using Team Settings instead of Company Settings.

Oh, a Team-Managed project, I see. I should try to reproduce it before being able to answer here.

In the meanwhile, may you add screenshots of your Automation rule components?

Thank you. Please note that if I set the priority value directly to a value (High or Low), it works. Only when I set to copy from parent it fails and throws an error.
