Hi,
Is there any best way we can integrate JIRA with Centrify. We have different external users group connecting our JIRA.
In our present sent all the user are in internal JIRA. Now we want to authenticate these users using Centrify. Is there a best possible way to achieve this?
We are using JIRA server 7.8.4.
TIA!!
There are many add-ons for Jira that support SAML which I believe Centrify supports. Jira Data Center also has SAML support out of the box.
@TimothyThanks for the reply.
If we use SSO plugin so we don't need to migrate internal JIRA user to an AD for Centrify integration?
We are using JIRA server by the way.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You'll have to pick an add-on/app from the marketplace that you like. Do your research on the functionality you need (i.e. SAML).
You can then connect your Jira to the AD itself to pull user, group, and memberships while the add-on handles the authentication/SSO.

The problem here is we are not using any AD for our JIRA. Most of our JIRA users are external. Due to security concerns, we don't want to create the external user's accounts in our AD.
Right now we have 300 users which are stored internally in JIRA without connecting to any AD.
The requirement here is all the users who are using JIRA should pass through
Centrify.

You should check with the vendors/developers of those add-ons. It should be a valid use case.
