JIRA Dashboard - How to use the gadget "Projects"

Hello

I am using Jira and I want to know how to use the gadget "projects", or how it works?

@ChristianM, It's supposed to be a menu of projects specific items.  Doesn't seem the menu box is expanding correctly.  I'm on Jira 7.5 and see the same thing.
