Hi ,
We have Email DL for group of users and created JIRA user account for the DL with group name as user name , But now a days it seems username changed for that user.
As a admin I am unable to edit that, now while tagging the user in issues we were unable to see the original name instead we are seeing the updated names which leads to confusion.
Refer This link hope this will help you:

Hi @sadhana_chittibabu your user name is not changed. This is a DB name/this name is used for calling API which was automatically generated when we create account and your visual name is same.
Whenever we will call any API or automation this default name will be used.

My username was not changed but its changed for some users accounts so As a JIRA Site Admin I am asking this . I just wanted to explain those users about this change.
So It would be better If I could explain it in better way for them so I am searching for the difference between old username and the updated name.
Could you please help me to find the logic behind the updated name

Its being kind of question among us , can you please help me to get clear on this?.
Thanks in advance.
