JIRA scrum board - Configure option for stories, epics and issues

Hi,

I would like to configure estimation story point and other fields for stories or issues created in my JIRA scrum board. But this field is not showing up there.

I requested "Board administrator" privilege from product owner to check options for enabling these field in any story or issue and its still not possible for me.

What kind of permission is required to enable these fields in JIRA?

Can you please help me to address this issue?

from the backlog view, you can directly assign story points to " Story " issue type.

you can edit none, and add story points.

for other issue types , you need to place ,  "story points" field on create / edit / view screens.

The problem here is that this field is not showing up for me and thus I cannot enter value to this field.

If possible, I can schedule a meeting in Teams and so that we can discuss it even more.

Are you having Jira administrative privileges.

If Yes

Now go to Project Settings

Screens

Check what screens are associated with Story, Task.

Open The Create / Edit / View issue screens and add "Story Points" field.

Which will solve your problems.

My account has not been enabled with JIRA administrator privilege and I will check option to extend my permission or request existing JIRA administrator to enable it.

In my board settings, I could see "Estimation" option enabled but still this field is not accessible in stories, epics and issues.

Any other issues?
