Jira 7 change the session timeout

After update to Jira 7 the session timeout setting doesn't work anymore. We have modify the file web.xml as described at https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira063/changing-the-default-session-timeout-683542392.html. With the older Jira Version it worked perfekt, but now the users get round about 1 hour without working the message: Session timeout. Is there any other parameter, except in the file web.xml, which needs to be changed?

Im using 7.2.4 and still encounter this problem. I know the default is 300 minutes but the session expires within minutes.

I'm using 7.11.1 and have this problem as well.

I've followed the instructions and set the timeout in both conf/web.xml and atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/web.xml with no change in behavior.
