Good afternoon! Has anyone made the leap to 8.0 yet and tried out the new batched email notifications? At Summit it was a hot topic and much anticipated, however we tried it our last night and it failed miserably. Not only did we not get any batched updates, we didn't even get the initial one upon assigning. Just curious if anyone had other experiences with it. Thanks!
Hi @Derek Rone ,
this is a feature that you need to activate in Jira 8: you can follow this guide to opt in and get the new batched emails.
Let me know if you have any questions,

I did activate by "flipping the switch" but it still didn't work as expected, or advertised I should say. The link you gave me says "404 Not found". Thank you

Hi @Derek Rone ,
sorry I sent you the wrong link : the documentation is here for the batch notificatons.
Have you also configured the email settings on your Jira instance ?

Can you give me more details on configuring my email? I was under the impression that all I had to do for Batched was flipping the switch to green like in the doc you sent me. Our email was already previously configured, however I am unaware of any necessary changes for Batched Notifications. Thank you.

If your email is already configured then it should be good then, I wasn't sure if you already had it configured.
I just tried it again on my test server and it works fine, with Jira 8.2.2. What version are you using ?

Alexis, we just upgraded to 8.1.0 (8.2 did not work well with some of our add-ons yet in our dev environment).
Thank you,
DR
