I'm trying to reduce the number of visible issues in a Jira backlog view using the article below. The last paragraph describes how to reduce the number of issues displayed by clicking "...". I don't know which "..." the article is referring to. Can anyone help me determine where to click to set the maximum issues displayed? My project is a classic software project.
Thank you.

"Organize how many issues are visible:
We want to make sure you don't have to wait for your backlog to load, so, by default, we show you a maximum of 100 issues (90 from the top of your backlog and 10 from the bottom) and hide the remaining ones. If you want to see all issues, click the Show all issues hyperlink that splits your backlog. This will load all your issues.
If you have more than 100 issues, you can click ... and select how many issues you want to display. You can select to see 100, 500, or all issues."
Hi @broberts - I guess my first question would be why you have that many issues in your backlog? There is absolutely no way you can manage that amount of issues. Have you thought about breaking that up into separate projects? Or discarding old/outdated issues?
Hi @John Funk
There's a documented feature that should let us see the manageable sub-set and it's not working as intended. Personally, I'd be happy to have an intellectual discussion about best practices, how we ended up with a long backlog, etc. after the root support issue is addressed.
FWIW, I also have a support ticket opened based on this thread, same as @broberts

@John Funk I do agree with your suggestion to move all the old issues out into another project. I think that's a good idea.

Hello @broberts , so you will see the ellipsis ... on your backlog only when you have more than 100 issues on your backlog. You won't see the "Show all Issues" or the ... options on your backlog if you don't have more than 100 issues.

Thank you. Our Jira (Cloud) backlog has ~1,500 issues. See the attached. I don't see the expected option to reduce visible issues as shown in the image you posted. The "Show all issues" option was visible, until I clicked on it to show all issues. I can't figure out how to revert that action.

It could be an indexing issue. However, can you tell-

This is happening for one of our projects as well. We have 2300 issues and the expected options is missing for us as well.

Sachin, We see the issue on other projects. All users in my company have the same experience. I don't recall ever seeing the "..." used to pick the max. backlog issues to display.

@broberts, it sounds like an indexing issue to me. You need to open a support ticket with Atlassian Support and they should be able to run a background reindexing for you to fix the issue.
