The Jira Cloud options line up with the server options as discussed on the other thread and the cloud specific version of the documentation for the avaliable workaround can be found here:

But overall the functionality is not native requiring the workflow property changes to apply the translations as a workaround to the scenario, and the feature request where we are tracking interest in this as a new feature in the system can be seen at the following link, noting that in the last update it was noted that this is not something that is planned on our short term road map, but please do add your vote tot he request to track continued interest as covered in the Implementation of New Features Policy :
