Jira Dash Board shows coding instead of words

The Jira board shows the following in Stardust project:

Stardust PMO Dashboard
__MSG_gadget.Roadmap.subtitle                  

 [] Startdust: ORU: long load Material Purchased confirmed 29/Aug/25
     __MSG_gadget.roadmap.issues.Resolved. 

       :
       :

       etc. 

Why does the dashboard show the coding information?

It suposes to show "Roadmap 90.." and   "4 issues, 1 resolved"  in text.

It's a common error to see with Jira in versions 7.1 and higher.  It happens because the Jira application server is unable to connect to the network address for the Jira site itself.  There are a lot of different possible causes.

Thanks for the info.  I look at the provided link above, I am not able to see the "Add gadgets" tab anywhere in the board.  Please advise.  Thanks

You will have to be able to edit the dashboard first.  If you can edit the dashboard, then you can see the Add Gadget button at the top of that page.  If you can't edit the dashboard, then you might not have permissions.  Might need to reach out to your Jira Admin so that they can resolve that aspect.
