Jira Dicovery Project - Adding multiple delivery tickets in bulk

Hello,

My Jira board is well established and well-used by the engineering teams.

I've recently started using the Jira Product Discovery board and it's working awesome for us in tracking product feedback, feature requests etc.

My issue is back-filling the board. I have all the Ideas imported ok but now want to link all the Ideas to delivery tickets in both ToDo and Done.

Is there a way I can do it in bulk? Even if clunky. I have 100s of tickets and it'll take me a lifetime of Sundays to do it one by one....

when you say "link", I assume you are referring to issue linking? It's indeed tricky to do this in bulk, but there are options available; check out e.g. this thread.

hey, that is actually very cool. thanks.

Might be my understanding but not _quite_ there.

I have an issue - XXX-123 is is implemented by ABC-123, ABC-333, ABC-777.

I can link them manually - no problem.

I can load up your sheets with JQL to show me only the ABC ones - no problem.

I cannot mass-update them to set "Implements", XXX-123 because they also have other "random" links. A copy-past across the multiple rows will undo the other links.

Is there a way to apply a single change to all rows as an additive?

Hi @Crispin, 

I assume you are referring to JXL? At the moment, a paste operation is indeed a "replace all" rather than an "add". As a potential workaround, note that copy/paste also works "between" JXL and pretty much any other app (like for example Excel), so you may be able to do the "add" outside of JXL, and then paste back to JXL; just make sure that the text is pasted in the correct format.
