Hi Blake, welcome to the Community. So when this occurs there should be a generic event that happens in the workflow so depending on your notification scheme folks should get notified. Now if you wish to send an addition and unique email then look to Automation - project settings > automation: when transition occurs from a->b, if issue type is Epic then send email
