Jira Mac App Dark Mode Info Panel Issue

We're using a combination of JIRA cloud with the Jira app for Mac.

To make our stories easier to navigate we are using 'info panels' to separate out different details in the story i.e. Acceptance Criteria / Tech Notes etc.

However when our dev guys are viewing the stories using the JIRA App on their Macs (in dark mode) the colour combinations make it almost impossible to read what is in those info panels.

This feels like an accessibility issue? Has this already been raised, and is there a fix on the way?

That's a bit hard to read; for me it is a light coloured panel with white text? Is this the same for you?

I've tried to locate an issue for this on the Public Issue Tracker but cannot find it - I would suggest raising a bug for this so Atlassian are aware of the issue :)

In the meantime, I tried all Info Panel options and the Divider Line - none work effectively in the Jira Mac App. I would suggest for now considering:

• Changing the colour of the text on the Info Panel - I've found red text works with most Info Panels for both Web Browsers and Jira Mac, bar the red warning (where I used green or blue).
• Use light mode, where the standard text colours still work for Info Panels.
• Headers, which do work on the Jira Mac App
• Separate Fields - for example, we have a separate field for Acceptance Criteria

^ Perhaps not the ideal workarounds, but allows you to keep using it :)

Thanks for coming back to me! Yes it's exactly as you describe, feels like Jira app needs to detect dark mode and have a different style sheet available for the the info panels which have better colour contrast.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will pass this advice around my team to see if they want to go that way for the short term... But, as it seems a relatively easy fix I hope Atlassian progress this fairly quickly (I have raised a proper bug for this now).
