Hi team,
Currently 1000+ users want to onboard out Jira. and we already have 1458 users
and sometimes we feel that Jira is quite slow.
Hence raise below question want to analysis the possibility of user increase.
1, how to analysis current Jira performance . such as IO, CPU or memory usage. want to know which part maybe the bottleneck for Jira performance , and if we can improve for that part.
2, is there any official advice on user number?
Hi @Mengmeng Yu ,
The number of active users is a point of performance consideration, you need to pay attention to issues, custom fields, projects, plugins, etc.
Btw, if there are more than 2000 users, the advantages of the data center with balanced load and multiple nodes will be obvious.

The following sections detail the testing environment, including hardware specification, and methodology we used in our performance tests.

Hi @Ollie Guan
Thx for this. but still have some question for you , pls bear with me.
We have smaller dataset as your performance testing showing even after we double user. And we have similar hardware on cpu and memory and software.
But our jira is running on two nodes use NAS disk as shared home.
and we sometimes get too long response time when open Jira UI.
from the performance testing, cpu and memory and software should not be the bottleneck. would NAS disk be the bottleneck?
below is directory under nas shared directory.

And seems this performance test doesn't mention what's the concurrency for testing actions such as View Dashboard or Create Issue.
or am I missing something?

Jira 6.x, 7.x or 8.x? Any plug-ins installed?
Try to clone a test environment and disable some plug-ins for testing.

Hi @Mengmeng Yu ,
Performance problems need to be checked one by one through the logs.
If your Jira is still in the maintenance period, it is recommended to submit an incident through the service desk and use Troubleshooting and support tools to obtain and upload your logs.
