I would like to display Jira projects that are under a specific category on a Confluence page. If I add project macro in Confluence, then it adds all the projects that exist in Jira. I only want to add a list of projects that meet under one specific category in Jira. Is there a way to do so? And once I add this list, will it stay in sync with all the updates in Jira?

I think you'd be better off embedding a URL of the project category search. I don't know of a way to do what you are describing. Especially out of the box.

So, if you go to the Projects drop down --> View All Projects --> Update the category drop down to the desired one --> Grab the URL and embed.

It would look something like this.

https://yoursitename.atlassian.net/jira/projects?page=1&selectedCategory=10001&selectedProjectType=all&sortKey=name&sortOrder=ASC
