Hello

I am facing the following issue after 8.3.0 upgrade:

- Atlassian JIRA service won't start showing this error

Sin título.png

And in the events Viewer i can't spot some errors but the amount of info it provides is useless "Incorrect Function" ....

- I need some helping hand since I've been looking for a solution and couldnt fix it.

I don't really know how to debug this, looking at the forums I've already tried to:

  1. Do the service.bat remove, reboot, and dot the service.bat install and it did not do the job
  2. looks like there's a problem with java i dont get to understand because the evnirment variables has't changed, they are exactly the same as in the previous version
  3. sin titulo 3.png

Enviroment Variables JAVA_HOME JRE_HOME are exactly the same as they were before the upgrade

Thank You

Hi Adria

What I notice in your log is the message about the application not being a valid Win32 application.

There can be multiple reasons for that. Please read this KB article.

I see you have a space in your java path. Try using the Windows short notation: C:\Progra~1\Java or C:\Progra~2\Java depending on the correct location of your 32/64bit installation.
