Hi,

I've been trying to link our jira software and bitbucket accounts following the instructions on the following link.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/connect-jira-cloud-to-bitbucket-cloud-814188428.html

However I get an error screen with the following details as soon as I initiate the linking process:

Title :

Your Bitbucket account is requesting access to Jira

Error Message :

Hmm... that didn't work

We couldn't complete that step. Let's have another go at it!

Action Buttons:

Start Again / Cancel

Since there is no definitive error message or code, I am having hard time why the integration does not work as expected. I've tried searching through the community but could not find an answer so far. So any help is appreciated. Can you guide me on what to check, or how to get a more descriptive error message during this process?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I see that you created a support case for this problem.  From reviewing that support case it looks like the solution here was to remove all elements of the DVCS connector between Jira and Bitbucket here first, and then attempt the integration once more.

I hope that this synopsis is helpful to other users that might encounter the same problem in the future.  If you have any other details to add here, feel free.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy,

This was pretty much the case. Thanks a lot for sharing the summary.

I'm getting the same error message, still without much that helps the user overcome the issue.

In our scenario I have several repos and projects working correctly. These are Software projects, company managed, same category, same schemes, and I'm the (new) admin.

A new repo and project (same config, etc. as the above mentioned projects as best I can tell), is getting this error when trying to connect the repo. I'm reluctant to remove a connection that may impact all the currently working, active projects.

Can anyone please provide more detail and/or more detailed steps so I don't break Jira-BitBucket integration for all of our dev teams?

Thanks
