Jira Software not available on Import

Hi guys, 

I´m using the Import Data function as a site admin to import from one Jira Software Project to create a new Jira Software Project. The problem is that only the Business Project is available on the dropdown. Any idea why?

Hi Olivia 

there’s a couple of things you can do. One is to create the software project and then import the issues into the already existing project.

the other thing is to import and create a business project then create the software project and do a bulk move of the issues to the software project.

Thank you @John Funk it seems that´s the only way so far. I imported the epics and tasks I had on the Jira Software Project, the workflows, and the general setup into the business project. It is a shame there is no cloning project feature released yet. It seems I might need to use an app to achieve this as I want to have a process in place for recurrent projects with the same level of epics, tasks, and configurations.

Yep, agreed. I suggest using either the Revyz Data Manager for Jira app or Deep Clone.

Thank you @Trudy Claspill I saw a comment from 2024 but with no resolution. I added a question there just in case but so far I haven't found a solution if any.
