Recently our email notifications have changed in formatting. I am trying to figure out how to get back to the way they used to look for both Jira and Confluence. Has anyone had this issue and know how to fix it?*The top image is how we used to receive email notifications the bottom image is how we now receive email notifications. It looks like this change occurred on 6/12/18.

Specifically for JIRA, you should be able to check if you have made any changes to your Email Type preference as mentioned in the Email HTML formatting. For example:
As for Confluence, the format of the email notification is defaulted to HTML and there is no feature available to change it to plain text unlike JIRA. For now, we have the following Suggestion created to keep track of this:
unless you change something in the backend or if you are running an older version of Confluence - Subscribing to Email Notifications of Updates to Confluence Content (2011 content for Confluence 3.5).
Can you please confirm what version of Confluence are you currently on and verify if there was any customization done from the backend?

Currently whenever I update our Product Roadmap users that I have added to watch this page (stakeholders, product owners, department heads) get an email whenever something is updated. Unfortunately, that email is not useful. It is important to our organization to have everyone on the same page in regards to our company direction and right now they are not actively using confluence so the best way to update them is via email.
