Jira audit log - Is it possible to view audit log for last 2-3 years?

Is there any limit in Jira to preserve the audit log?

If I wish to see audit log for last year or even older to that is it possible?

As of today, I am not able to see audit log prior to 11 May 2020 even if I try to use the option to choose date range.

You appear to be asking about the audit logs, and not the individual issue history.  Is that correct?

If so, the Atlassian documentation indicates these logs are available for 180 days:

You can access them via the admin UI or from the REST API:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/audit-logging-970612562.html

If you believe you need them for a longer period of time, you could set up a webhook and start pushing the log information out for storage outside of JIRA.

Hi @Sandhya Paranjpe   According to that documentation link I provided from Atlassian, 180 days is the limit from the admin pages.  They do not indicate if more history is available via other paths.  I did find a suggestion to increase beyond 180 days:

Perhaps someone from Atlassian or one of the in-the-know community leaders will post more information about this.

I am using Jira Cloud.

I am using System -> Audit Log option to see the audit log.

You can try third-party solution Issue History. It lets you monitor the full changelog ordered by the time period you need (more than 180 days).

I think the tool "Issue History" gives history for issues.

What I am interested in the audit log and not the individual issue history as such.
