Jira cloud - Would like to change a field label

We are using Jira hosted in the cloud. Need to be able to change the label of the Description field to something else. Is there a way to accomplish this? Since we are hosted, changing the source code is not an option. Using a language translator is out as well because it doesn't solve our needs.

We know we can add a custom field, but since we don't have the ability to alter the placement of the Description field on the screen, we are needing to change the label to get our desired layout.

I figured ... and I'm assuming it's not possible to change the location of the Description field either. Our problem would be solved if we could put a custom field under it ... but the custom fields appear to only display at the top above the Description field. Thanks!
