Hi
The user interface changes for editing issues depending on if i am:
This inconsistency is causing frustration and confusion with my users and I'm surprised that the UX guys at Atlassian allowed that to happen.
Is there a way to have a consistent view, ie have a more detailed view on all views?
Thanks
Hey Stu,
While on the surface it may seem like this isn’t thought through, there’s a varying amount of screen real estate on each of these screens. If they were all consistent, you’d need to design for the lowest common denominator.
Sure it can be frustrating to select an issue on a board and not see the custom fields on the RHS fly out panel, but the full detail issue is only another click away and the general goal of the board is high level overview/transitioning.

Thanks for the response.
You mention that full details are only one click away. Are you referring to clicking on the issue key in the top left corner?
If you are, you still don't get any other custom fields that I have configured for that issue type.
Thanks
