We just updated from v8.17.1 to v8.20.1, and now whenever the use of an @mention is used for an issue comment, the email shows the username instead of the person's full name.
For example, it might say:
Hey johndoe and janedoe, you are correct about the calculation.
When instead, it should be showing:
Hey John Doe and Jane Doe, you are correct about the calculation.

I should note, this also performed an upgrade to Crowd (from 4.3.5 to 4.4.0).

@Anthony Pomtree Upgrading Crowd shouldn't be an issue. Are your notifications working fine? How about log in to the application? no one reported any issues.
Meanwhile I am looking for more solutions, shouldn't take longer than tomorrow.
Best,
Fadoua

@Tinker Fadoua- notifications are going out normal (less the username/full name issue). No issues logging into the application either.

Hi Both
I am also seeing the same behavior after upgrade to Jira DC 8.20.1 yesterday. When a person is mentioned on a Jira comment the full name is visible as expected in Jira but for users via our active directory they are a "q123456" username and this is what displays on the notification email as below. First image is in Jira where mention is made to Sheron - second is how it displays in email notification with her q1450164.
This is a bug surely?
Regards
Gordon

@Anthony Pomtree Trying to find a way to index users only, which is possible in Confluence. I am still looking. I really apologize for taking time.
