Jira filter: Edit Permissions does not display Shares or Add Shares options

I have a user that cannot share his Jira filters because when he goes to Details of the filter and clicks on Edit Permissions the Shares and Add Shares options do not display. This is not a permissions issue, he owns the filter.

I thought it might be a browser rendering problem because we see a lot of them in IE, but this also happens in Chrome. Clearing cache and cookies has done no good. I can't figure out what is going on, but it seems to be something with his PC. When I use ScriptRunner to login as the user I have all of the share options and permissions as expected.

This is what the user sees:

We found the solution. Clearing the Cache in Google Chrome did not fix this the first time because the "time range" setting on the users Chrome was "Last Hour". When this was changed to "All Time" the cache clearing restored the filter sharing functionality.

Also with a second user just deleting the cookies for Jira worked

In Chrome go to Settings->Advanced->Privacy and Security->Content Settings->Cookies->See all cookies and site data

Then, search for jira in the search box
Delete the jira.micron.com cookies

You know - I'd always not only clear cache but open JIRA on incognito or inprivate mode for troubleshootings :-)

We did the incognito mode, which worked fine and led us back to the Cookies and Cache.

Check your global permissions. Go to Administration -> System -> Global Permissions and check who has the permission to 'Create Shared Objects'. Perhaps your user does not.

If that doesn't help check your browser console for any errors when your user loads up 'Edit permissions' screen of his filter.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. Global permissions are unchanged and fine. We now have three users with the issue. We'll enter a support ticket for this.
