I'm using Mac.I tried everything including increasing timeout and memory.But nothing works.I'm using openjdk 1.8

JiraHome is a path and not the name of the directory. It may vary depending on your installations.

I found two different installations online.One is like starting tomcat with sh startup.sh and if I do that I have to create a folder called JiraHome and the website comes with localhost:8080 and it shows Jira Software not Jira.
If I install it like the way in hello world plugin in Atlassian docs then I don't have any jirahome and the page comes in localhost:2990 and it says the errors up there.
How can I install it so that it says Jira not Jira Software.I'm using Mac
