Jira is automatically CANCELLING stories when sub-tasks are complete!

When someone drags Sub-tasks from In-progress to Done on the Kanban board, a prompt pops up asking to "Update Parent Issue" when all child issues are done. The only options are Update or Cancel. Upon clicking Update, the Story is marked Cancelled! This is very bad. It appears I cannot turn off this "feature", so what do I need to do to configure it to stop cancelling our stories? I have already made sure that the transition of Done appears above Cancel in any list of transitions (see below).

Note that we are using Jira Cloud and we do not have Script Runner.

Hello @Mike Shkolnik

It seems Cancel is global status, i.e. all statuses have transitions to cancel. When you are clicking update it might be happening that for the current status of story there is no transition to Done rather there is a transition to cancel and hence that transition is chosen and story is transitioned to Cancel

@Tarun SapraThat was it! "Open" only had a transition to Cancel, not Done. I added a Done transition to Open and now we are prompted for choosing between Done and Cancel in the parent story. Thanks much.
