Hi all,
Is there anyway to display all status's of a project in a board that displays in the long card format like the scrum board does?
The directors here at the company want to get a feel for the bugs at each status however the card format that the kanban board uses displays things in a manner that goes too far down the page.
The scrum board will display any two status's (backlog and first out) but I need all status's
We are on version 7.8.1, but an upgrade to resolve would also be acceptable.
Thanks,
Robert
Hi Robert,
why don't you create a dashboard for them? Maybe a simple pie-chart or bar-chart is suitable for your management?
Hi Thomas,
Thanks for the reply!
A Dashboard? I have created several dashboards but a bar chart or pie chart clearly will not work. They want a list of issues by status that is collapsible with the issue summary in each,
So:
Open:
IS-123 The system doesn't work
IS-124 Freeze when opening outlook
In Progress:
IS-125 Email not sending
In Validation:
IS-126 kernel panic when race condition occurs
etc. I am not aware of any dashboard app that can do that?
If so that would work, Do you know of one?
Thanks again,
Robert

Two other options:
A "Single Level Group By" - Report would give you the desired list. Save a filter for your project (project = xxx) and then create the Single-Level-Group-By - Report based on your filter. Group the report by the status-field.
Disadvantages:
Use the dashboard gadget "Two dimensional filter Statistics" with issue type and status.
Again, your management will only see the numbers of issues, but clicking on the numbers will show them the list of issues.
I don't know of any collapsible report, if you need advanced reporting, there are reporting apps for Jira on the marketplace:
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?hosting=server&product=jira&query=reporting
But I can't recommend one, you have to try.

Yeah I do not think that will work. First and foremost I will not have any Quick-links to immediately have the above filtered by user/employee. The boards do have that, and are really close to what is desired. The ideal solution would be to have a standard kanban board with the columns being horizontal instead of vertical and cards changed into rows just like a scrum backlog view.
