Jira migration

im planning to migrate jira v 6.x from on premises dc to azure dc also i have to upgrade jira to the latest version v 7.x .

do we have any checklist or best practices to be followed for migration

Yes, we have documentation that describes all the steps necessary for the upgrade.

We also have this document about hosting Jira on Azure:

Keep in mind that, since you are on Jira 6.X, you'll need to first upgrade to Jira 7.0 and then go to a later version.

Thanks for sharing the information, Jira 7.9 supports mysql 5.7 as of July 12. i just want to know whether Atlassian team is working on supporting mysql 8 which is the latest release of mysql

It's on the to-do list.  No clear hints of a release yet though, so I wouldn't bet on it before Jira 7.14ish
