Hi Team,
I am configuring Jira workflow and I want to setup multiple accepted approver in such a way that any approver from approved approver can approve but Jira by default taking all approver in AND mode which means all approver needs to approved, Can I get solution I am fine if there is anything we can do using Jira automation too
Hi @Raj_ Rohit
In the documentation Set up approvals for your project or How to manage approvers it doesn't mention anything about the "Number of Approvals" needed to move to the next status, so I assume this is not feasible at the moment and all users in the field must approve. I have opened a ticket with Support to get a response about this matter, as soon as they reply I will update you here!
Best regards
Sam

Hi @Raj_ Rohit
Here is the answer from Atlassian support:
I was investigating this and tried to setup the approvals in that way, and indeed, we need all the approvals on status transition or it won't permit users to move forward to the next status. This mostly happens because, in JWM, you have one specific workflow to accommodate each issue type you have on your project; in that case, as you need to manually set that information in each workflow, it is expected that the users add only the necessary persons to approve that status.
Nonetheless, I understand that this could be a good feature for the customers to have a bit more control over how the approvals flow is created and maintained, so I created a new Feature Request that is sent to the Product and Dev team to evaluate:
I encourage you to vote on this link and add yourself as a watcher. This way, you can keep posted about the new information released.
Unfortunately, it is not feasible at the moment and all users in the field must approve.
Best regards
Sam

@Raj_ Rohit in the workflow editor (graphical) select the status you want to set up approvers for, and choose edit from the popup
From the next step you can choose from the options shown:
For only 1 approver per group choose the highlighted option

The option you mentioned is only available for JSM, in JWM there is no way to set up the number of people that can approve. All users in the field will need to approve in order to move to the next status.

@Stephen_Lugton Unfortunately I am seeing different options in status pop-up, I am not sure if I am looking at a right place

Thanks @Samuel Gatica _ServiceRocket_ I didn't realise there was a different approval process in JWM
