As per Atlassian KB Connecting Jira applications to MySQL 5.7 Character set and collation to be used with MySQL5.7 is utf8mb4 and utf8mb4_bin resp. However, Jira health check says utf8mb4 is not supported. Does anyone know why is it so?

Our Jira version is 7.11.2.

@Suhas P  This is a bug/Know issue. You should apply the fix  in the ticket here

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-68926

@Moses Thomas  Thanks. That explains it. I am upgrading my Jira to 8.8 so that should fix it too as you can see the fix version v8.0.0.
