According to this page on the jira cloud software (Manage subtasks in team-managed projects | Jira Software Cloud | Atlassian Support), it should be possible to filter via 'group by' and be able to see subtasks visually on a team-managed board. However in our organization the 'group by' option does not exist. Is this a setting that can be changed?
I would like to see subtasks individually on the page if possible since sometimes they are in a different card than the main issue.
Hi @Nellie Ochs and welcome to the Community!
Are you sure your project is a Jira Software project? The tags and the title on your question suggest that you are using a Work Management project and - if so - the group by options there are different indeed.
As a comparison:
Jira Software / Team managed
Jira Work Management / Team managed
A grouping option is available in list view and in company managed projects in Jira Work Management, but grouping by sub-tasks is not available there either.
Hope this helps!
This helps quite a lot, thank you very much! It indeed answers the question of why this has a different setting.
Do you know if this option will be rolled out to the work management?
Is there any advantage to work management over a Jira software project? (otherwise it would be possible to switch).

I have a followup question. I have a company-managed work management project. In my sandbox I see the "group-by" option on the board, but not on my production project.
As a result, my board is not populating with issues created by my forms. Anyone know why this might be happening?
